Ash Wednesday!

Feb 14, 12 & 7 pm

Ash Wed at St. Andrew's

St. Andrew's will celebrate two Ash Wednesday services at 12:00 (Noon) pm and 7:00 pm on Wednesday, February 14, 2017.

On this holy day we receive ashes on our foreheads in the sign of the cross as we are reminded of our humanity and are penitent for our sins. Many Christians fast this day as an act of devotion to our Lord. We will also celebrate holy communion where we are reminded of God's mercy and grace. Please join us in worshiping our Lord.

Why do Anglicans do that????

Instructed Eucharist on Sunday, Feb 18 at 9:30 am.

Instructed Eucharist at St. Andrew'sMany who visit an Anglican Church find the liturgy beautiful and inspiring but often wonder "Why do they do that?" On this Sunday we explain why we worship in the distinctive way we do. From the vestments we wear to order of the service, from the sacred actions we do to the sacred items used on the altar -- we tell all.

The bottom line is that we seek to exalt Jesus to the highest place in our lives, to worship Him as Lord, Savior and Reigning King and to do so with beauty and in the ancient manner handed down from the early church.

Our Mission

Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
